The Logopoet

Allen Lintvedt is a freelance graphic designer and copywriter doing business as Logopoet. He is a graduate of San Diego State University with a B.A. in journalism. He also has a California Teaching Credential and has 11 years of experience as a high school English and journalism instructor. His graphic arts experience comes from his freelance design work and various positions he has held in the industry—from production artist to estimator. Lintvedt has a solid foundation in journalistic writing as well as an appreciation for the power of poetic language. His interest in composing poetry and writing songs has brought a poetic dimension to his writing. Throw into the mix a life-long enthusiasm for advertising art, and the resulting style is Lintvedt's own blend of verbal and visual communication.

Graphic Design

The Logopoet approach to graphic design is a systematic process. Marketing strategies, artistic considerations, and meaningful company symbolism are distilled into potent, memorable designs. A calculated use of images, color and typography provides strong visual support while conveying additional messages at a more visceral level. Striking images create interest, command attention, and communicate your selling points. The cultivation of a solid public image for your company or product is a constant consideration in the Logopoet approach. Print jobs are designed with methods and materials that reinforce your company’s image while remaining within your company’s budget.

Copywriting

The Logopoet approach to writing your copy is guided by your marketing objectives. Careful consideration is also given to the concerns of your target market. The style and voice of your copy are chosen to reinforce the public image of your company or product. And the appropriate tone provides an effective environment for connecting with your intended audience. The copy's strength comes from a simple, straightforward organization in which the benefits of your product are clearly expressed. Persuasive writing strategies are employed to add power and punch to your presentation. Slogans and jingles are also used to make your message memorable.

Other Services

Lintvedt is available as a creative consultant for collaboration with other creative service professionals. He enjoys the synergy of a team effort, and he can also be called upon to provide creative "piece work" in the form of slogans, jingles, logo designs, website graphics, and production art.
